David Anderson advises domestic and foreign companies across the supply chain, including manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, retailers, and other commercial parties. He helps clients manage legal risk, preserve key business relationships, and address problems before or shortly after they develop into disputes.

David also handles transactional matters, including drafting and negotiating master services, supply, distribution, sales, nondisclosure, vendor, and licensing agreements. His focus is on clear risk allocation, workable remedies, and contract terms that match operational realities. A licensed customs broker (LCB), David also supports import trade compliance, including detained/seized goods release, tariff classification strategy and audits, county-of-origin strategy, and UFLPA compliance.

David also frequently represents clients in litigation and arbitration in California and Massachusetts state and federal courts and private arbitration. He has handled hundreds of pre-filing claims as well as litigated matters, including business and contract disputes, employment cases, class actions, real estate matters, and creditor-side bankruptcy disputes. He focuses on helping clients assess exposure early and make better strategic decisions before conflicts escalate.

During his career, David has conducted hundreds of workplace and organization investigations involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and related policy, ethics, and code-of-conduct concerns.  An Association of Workplace Investigators Certificate Holder (AWI-CH), he has also served as an AWI instructor and annual conference speaker.

He is committed to pro bono service, including serving as a court-appointed mediator in the Massachusetts state courts. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers every year since 2013—first as a Rising Star in Northern California and Massachusetts, and later as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer—and was also named a Boston Magazine Top Lawyer. He is a member of the Boston American Inn of Court.

He serves as a director on the boards of the Greater Beverly YMCA and the Seven and Eight Park Street Foundation. He is an elected member of the Wenham Planning Board. Outside the office, he enjoys running, cycling, climbing mountains, diving for lobsters, and spending time with his cherished family.
